What we check in your review
When your contract really ends
And whether it needs written notice. Miss it and you can drop onto out-of-contract rates.
Your unit rates and standing charges
What you pay per kWh and per day, compared with what the market would offer you now.
Whether your contract is fully fixed
Some contracts pass network and policy costs straight through, so your bill can rise mid-contract.
Your meters and supply numbers
That the MPAN on your electricity bill and the MPRN on your gas bill match the meters at your site.
VAT and Climate Change Levy
Smaller users can qualify for 5% VAT and no levy. We check you’re charged at the right rate.
All your sites on one date
For groups, we can line contracts up so they renew together and you buy as one customer.
Check your renewal window
Put in your contract end date to see when suppliers will quote and when notice is usually due.
Questions people ask us
How far ahead can I agree a new contract?
Most suppliers will quote up to 12 months before your current contract ends. Agreeing early means the new price starts the day the old one finishes, with no gap.
What happens if I do nothing at renewal?
Depending on your contract, you may be moved onto out-of-contract rates or a rollover contract. Both are usually more expensive than a price you’ve agreed.
Fixed or flexible: which is right for us?
Most small businesses choose a fixed price for certainty. Flexible contracts, where energy is bought in blocks over time, can suit larger users who can manage some price risk. We’ll explain both with your numbers.
What is a letter of authority?
A short signed form that lets us speak to your supplier about your account. It doesn’t commit you to anything, and you can withdraw it at any time.
Is using a broker more expensive than going direct?
Not necessarily. Suppliers pay brokers through the unit rate, and our fee is printed on every quote, so you can compare our prices with a direct quote fairly.
Send us a bill. We’ll show you what’s in it.
A free review takes about 20 minutes. We check what you’re paying, tell you when your contract really ends, and show you any quotes with our fee on them. No obligation to switch.
