How we get paid, in plain numbers.

On most business contracts, the supplier pays the broker a fee that’s added to your unit rate. That’s how we’re paid too. The difference is we show you the amount before you sign, so you can decide if it’s fair.

What we won’t do

  • Recommend a supplier because it pays us more

We show you every quote we get, side by side, with our fee on each one. Pick the one that’s best for you.

  • Hide our fee in the standing charge

Our fee is in the unit rate only, and it’s printed on the quote.

  • Sign you up without your say-so

Nothing is agreed until you’ve seen the full contract terms and said yes in writing.

  • Let your contract roll over quietly

We contact you well before every renewal, whether or not you stay with us.

Questions about our fees

Why don’t you charge me directly instead?

Some businesses prefer that, and we can quote a flat fee if you ask. For most small businesses, a fee built into the unit rate is simpler: there’s no invoice from us, and you only pay it on energy you actually use.

Is our fee the same with every supplier?

We set the same fee for every quote in a comparison, so no supplier looks better to us than to you.

Do the rules require brokers to show commission?

Ofgem now requires energy suppliers to tell microbusiness customers how much broker commission is in their contract. We go further and show it before you choose, on every quote.

What if I think the fee is too high?

Say so. Because it’s on the quote, it’s easy to talk about. We’d rather agree a fee you’re happy with than lose your trust.

Ask us what we’d earn. We’ll tell you.

A free review takes about 20 minutes. We check what you’re paying, tell you when your contract really ends, and show you any quotes with our fee on them. No obligation to switch.
